Hey Sierra. I would like to use the Swing Hi and Swing Low Markers (on a Price chart), as a Starting point for Extension Lines on a Different Study. So, if Swing Hi is detected, Could I create an Extension on a Moving average, at that Swing Hi point?

Is this something you will be doing in a Custom Study, or are you trying to figure out if it can be done using the built-in tools? In either case, are you trying to start the extension line from the Moving Average at the same bar as the Swing, or are you wanting to somehow do it from the price? We are not fully understanding this part. And also, what kind of extension line are you trying to create - one that just goes forward until the next swing, or goes until intersection, or just displays across the chart? Hey John, Yes, I was 'trying to start the extension line from the Moving Average at the same bar as the Swing' I have solved the issue using Spreadsheets and a Swing HI LO study. In spreadsheets, I created a column with this equation: =IF(AND(ED3>0,D3<DH3-22),CT3,AM4) Where ED3 is a Swing Lo Event Where DH3 is an extra Price based Moving Average Where CT3 is the Closing Value of Key Moving Average and Where AM4 is the previous row in the Column Then I turn the AM Column into a square, and the spreadsheet displays a line of these squares. The Extension line is not Continuous, but this accomplishes what I need. Thanks John, I hope yall have a great week. |
