This started happening once I updated to version 2611. I'll tab thru charts in my chartbook, and I can see maybe 60% of the bars that have elapsed, I can see all my drawings, but the remaining bars/candles don't show up until I start scrolling right.

We need more information, and probably a screenshot to understand exactly what is occurring.

Ok, What's the protocol for posting a screenshot? I recall posting a link to screenshot here that was not acceptable. Thanks |

We are a bit confused, as your indicator in the lower right shows that you do not have "Lock Fill Space" enabled, but it also indicates that you are not scrolled to the end of the chart. So these two things seem to be conflicting. Can you please get us a chart that shows this and give us the exact workflow of what you are doing that shows this occurring. Hopefully we will be able to reproduce it and figure out what is happening. Refer to the following for how to get us a chart: Support Board Posting Information: Providing Chartbook with Only a Single Chart We would also like for you to try this with a new chart and do what you do and see if it happens with a new chart. I've attached a chartbook, with two charts instead of one, because in order to reproduce it, I had to switch between the two charts. It's correct I do NOT have lock fill space enabled, and I am also not scrolled to end of chart. The only way for me to fix this issue currently is to scroll to the end of chart. |

We can tell you how to fix it, but we are not sure why it is happening. It is related to the Linking of the charts for the "Scroll Position". When the higher time frame chart is scrolled off the end of the window and then back, then there is a "fake" lock fill space created on the lower time frame chart. We were able to reproduce it with our own chart, so it is not something specific to you, just to the particular way you are using the option. The solution is to remove the linking for "Scroll Position" from both charts. We do not know when we will be able to dig into this deeper. This had never happened prior to updating to 2611, I was on 2597 or earlier, iirc. Is there anything that had changed since then with chart functionality?

We do not understand what the problem is other than a chart is not scrolled to the end and you have to scroll it to the end. We see no problem with Linking the Scroll Position and it is normal that the fill space is adjusted as well in each chart as the fill space changes on the controlling chart. For why a chart could scroll back unexpectedly, refer to: Working With Charts: Charts Unexpectedly Scroll Back and Change Fill Space Amount If you still believe there is a problem, we need a precise explanation of how to reproduce. However, before doing anything more wait for the next release of Sierra Chart, 2617, because we are doing some work on Scroll Position linking that might resolve your issue. We are not sure because we do not know the sequence of events which leads to the condition you are having. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
