Up to SC v2598 on 2024/02/07 the update via the application login window took about 1:30 minutes. Starting with SC v2602 on 2024/02/15 the update took about 7 minutes. Starting with SC v2609 on 2024/03/01 the update takes about 15 minutes. This was also observed today with SC v2610. Note that also the download of the installer and zip-file from sierrachart.com is very slow (about 50kB/s). This is not a local connectivity/bandwidth problem, because a) the computer is connected via a 2Gb/s optical fiber b) no other application experiences any such problems c) ping to sierrachart.com is normal at 174ms: 64 bytes from sierrachart.com (38.142.170.158): icmp_seq=6 ttl=50 time=174 ms Are you aware of any server-side problems? Any suggestions how to further debug this problem? You are having a network issue to our servers for the update. We can not say where it is, but there is something about your Internet routing that is causing you some issues with this particular item. There is nothing we can do about this, it is a public Internet issue that is beyond our control.

OK, I will contact the Internet provider for this issue. Does the SC application integrated downloader/updater also use the sierrachart.com (38.142.170.158) server for download or do we need to check a different server for that? If yes, please specify the server. Thanks! |
