I had to move to a new PC and the transfer process was easy. Kudos to Sierra on that. However I ran into one problem. I am showing all values in the Bid Market Order column and Ask Market Order Column of my trading Dom even though I have set the minimum market order quantity to 50 in Global Symbol Settings. Custom Value box also checked. I am running 3 instances of Sierra and have changed the custom values in all of them but they all have the same problem. I'm not sure if it's pertinent but I use service pack 12. Would appreciate advice on how to proceed. Thanks |

The "Minimum Market Order Quantity" in the Symbol Settings affects the MBO data columns and sets the minimum value that will be shown there. Refer to the following: Market By Order Data: Adjusting Minimum Quantity to Display for Market by Order Data If this is what you are wanting to do and you are not getting what you are expecting, then the first thing is whether you are using a "Trade and Current Quote Symbol". If so, then if you have the option for "Use as Trade Only Symbol" set to "No", then you will need to change the symbol settings for the symbol entered in the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol", as the market depth data is for that symbol. The other option is to set "Use as Trade Only Symbol" to "Yes", then the market depth data will be for the main chart symbol. Appreciate the answer but that's not the problem. I'm not using Trade and Current Quote Symbol and have Use As Trade Only Symbol set to no. This is exactly how I have things set up on old PC. I just checked the old PC and it and it is filtering Minimum Market by Order Quantities by 50 as normal. The symbol in question is ES?##-CME from the symbol settings list. I actually change this value from time to time given market conditions. Unfortunately nothing is getting filtered and I am seeing everything, 3 and above, which makes it useless information for me. I did a quick check on CL?##-NYMEX and the problem is the same ... no filtering. I'm not sure what I could be missing as it seems pretty straightforward.

If you are doing this in a Sub-Instance, then you need to make the changes in the Main Instance only. Changes in the Main Instance for this item will filter to the sub-instances. It does not matter how you change the symbol settings in sub-instances for this, you have to make the change in the main instance.
