Hello, I use OCO orders to enter and I have noticed the Move Target to Price keyboard shortcut does not work or does not work reliably. When it stopped working this is the error message: Order Modification failed, Price and quantity for order modification are the same as existing order. This is actually not true. The price at which the shortcut was used was above entry price and below target price. In addition on attempt before this error message, it did move the target but not to price, to a random price bellow the original OCO target and a few points higher than the current price. I cannot make sense of its behavior. Please advise. Thank you |

We do not observe any problem with this. We tested with Teton order routing. However, to use Move Targets the Price, with an OCO order you must have this setting set to Yes: Global Trade Settings Windows: Move Attached Targets/Stops to Price Also Moves OCO (Global Settings >> Chart Trade Settings >> General) And most importantly enable order confirmations! Do not keep them disabled. And look at and verify the price, and make sure it is correct that the order is being modified to: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Menu >> Order Confirmations (chart specific) There can be no random behavior here. Thank you for your response. I am testing it in Sim mode and am seeing discrepancies. For example, sometimes it gives the above mentioned error, other times it moves the target Further away from the current price, Or somewhere in between the current price and the previous target. I am using OCO orders to enter and have turned on the Move Attached Targets/Stops to Price Also Moves OCO. In regards to the confirmations: the reason I use the hotkey is speed, if I turn on the notifications, then it defeats the purpose of using the hotkey. Would this hotkey not function without confirmations being on? Or is that just to double check the order? Thank you |

The "Move Attached Targets to Price" moves the targets to the location of the cursor at the time the keyboard shortcut is selected. If it is not doing this, then we would need to know exactly what it is doing. The reason to turn on the confirmations is so you can see exactly what price the system is trying to move the target to prior to it doing it. This allows you to confirm that it is the price you expected prior to anything odd occurring after the target is moved - such as the position being immediately closed out so you could not see where the target moved to. We are not expecting you to keep this on at all times, but for troubleshooting this problem it is very helpful.
