There is a new Graphics Setting for this called "Chart Values: Price and Time Boxes Text Color".

We are pretty sure that the issue you are having is due to the new setting for "Chart Values: Price and Time Boxes Text Color". Refer to the following for the definition of this option:
Graphics Settings: Chart Values: Price and Time Boxes Text Color

You may also want to change the color of the background for the Price and Time boxes, which is the setting just above the one referenced above.

Just be sure you are changing this in the appropriate place, as there are both Chart specific and Global graphics settings. Refer to the following:
Graphics Settings: Using Different Color and Graphics Settings for Specific Charts

If this is not what you are referring to, then we need an image of what you are seeing. Please follow the instructions at the following link to get us an image:

For User143551
I had similar issues after the update as well.
But i've found a solution to it.
Go to the Global Settings Tab -->
click on the Graphic Settings - Global-->
On the open window, scroll down to
Chart Values: Color Of The Price And Time Boxes
Then click the color pallet associated with it
and select the light grey color.
click ok for the color
Then click Apply and Ok for the Graphic Settings - Global window.

Note: For some reason, no other color seemed to work from the selection except the grey one for me... so there you have it.
It will help you see the time and price at the crosshair pointers as it should be.

You definitely do not have to press Apply before Ok. It is enough to press Ok.

And any color will work. Whatever color you select for this will be the color that you will see:

I just upgraded to ver.2611 on one of my SC programs because I needed to get Historical daily data on it. When I used the Crosshair tool it also had a black background for the time and value boxes, although it was set for a light blue background. I changed it to a light grey in the "Chart Values: Color of the Price and Time Boxes" setting, which worked, but wanted it to be a little lighter. When I made the grey even lighter, it went back to being a black background.
What I found is that if you go too light with any color, you get a black background. For light blue, in order of Red Blue Green, 210,255,255 is the lightest I can go. For grey 228,228,228 worked on mine.
I have a very light grey background for my charts and they are not affected. I always cringe a bit when I have to do an update.

There is automatic color management when 2 colors are very close to each other and have little color In difference between them. In this case, the colors will be a changed appropriately to either the chart background color or the chart text color. This is to avoid problems since sometimes users will have conflicting color settings.

We want you to update to version 2617 (Available in about 30 minutes):
Software Download: Fast Update

This color management is not new:

I have a very light grey background for my charts and they are not affected. I always cringe a bit when I have to do an update.

It has always existed with the Chart Values tool.

Dear Support,

Can you please provide further help/instructions because I have updated to the latest 2617 to find a fix for this problem, but I see no difference.

When I open a new chart and turn on the crosshairs, the text colours of the price and time boxes in the Chart Values tool are almost the same, making them almost unreadable.

I have tried opening the Chart Graphics Settings and clicking OK to see if a change happens automatically, but it does not.

I'm sure I'm missing something here but it would be super helpful to have an automatic fix for this problem as now all the chartbooks I've created over the years and posted on my site (500+) are broken. Manually fixing this new colour issue in each chartbook and chart is an impossibility due to the time involved.

Can you please advise?
Thanks in advance.

Set that chart to use the chart specific Graphics Settings: Chart >> Graphics Settings-Chart.

And then attach it by following these instructions:
