Hello, when selecting crude e-mini contract 'QM' the chart scale is 10x the value of the contract, eg. when CL value is 98.50, QM chart has value 985.00. I have difficulties to get the scale right, how to adjust it correctly? Thanks! |

We have updated the CTS settings for the QM futures contract. Update the Symbol Settings and apply them to the chart as explained here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#UpdateSettingsSteps Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Ok, charts now show prices for QM contract correctly. But on the 'Orders And Positions' window the trade entry/exit/stop/target prices are still showing as ten fold, at least in SIM mode. How to correct also these? Thanks. |

Restart Sierra Chart and these should then be correct.

No, the QM contract prices are still not correct on 'Orders and Positions' window. They still show ten fold both in SIM and Live (CTS). Charts show prices correctly, but I simply can't trade as I can't be sure what prices my trade entries actually are at Nymex. Please could you help urgently. Thanks. BTW, the page link you provided earlier doesn't work anymore... Date Time Of Last Edit: 2014-08-08 14:49:52

We cannot test is because we do not have access to that symbol through CTS. Select Global Settings >> Symbol Settings. Locate the QM symbol in the list of symbols. What do you see the Real-time Price Multiplier set to? Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. These settings are not correct. Perform a Full Reset of the Symbol Settings as explained here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#FullResetSymbolSettingsSteps After this restart Sierra Chart. Ok, I changed manually the Price Multiplier to 0.001, and it seems to have corrected the issue. There was also another QM contract symbol (as you know you seem to have 2 different contract symbols for the same contracts for some weird reason), which had the Price Multiplier set to 0.001 automatically. Which one is the correct one for trading? I selected the one which looks the same format as the CL contract I've been trading before, but it had this 'ten fold' problem. I must say I'm totally confused. How do I know I'm trading the correct symbol (out of these 2 alternatives)??? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2014-08-08 17:33:45

Why did not you perform a Full Reset of the symbol settings as we previously instructed? That will resolve the issue. After you perform a full reset, you definitely will only have one QM symbol. I did not perform it, because during that 30 min it took to get that new instruction from you I already had to try to find out myself what was the problem with Price Multiplier. Then I saw that other QM contract and it's values, and I manually used them on this QM contract I've had previously and it worked. Then I wrote my new response to you and only after posting it I saw your new instructions to perform a Full reset. Hope that answers to your first question. Now, I did perform the Full Reset, and yes, I seems to have resolved these issues I discussed in my previous post. I will post again, if I still find any issues. Thank You. |
