hi please check the attached screenshots I simulated a short trade in the simulated feed and was expecting an entry mark for 2 contracts (03:59) and an exit mark for 2 contracts (04:00) as same as happened on the previous trade (03:56) while getting entry and exit marks (1 each) for the entry and again entry and exit marks (1 each) for the stop order. this happened again in another short trade (04:01) Am I doing something wrong? I am attaching the trade activity as well for these 2 trades. |

If you have a question about the order quantity not being correct, refer to: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Trade Window Settings Not Applying to Chart or Trading DOM If this is an automated trading system, make sure the automated trading is setting the quantity. it is ASCIL code doing the trading my question is why in the first trade it works as expected *but* on the next trade, it doesn't work as expected. same code, same mechanism, trade activity is the same, order execution is the same but on the chart it is different thanks |

You have to debug this. We do not know what the issue is: Automated Trading From an Advanced Custom Study: Debugging/Troubleshooting Automated Trading Systems And refer to: Step-By-Step ACSIL Debugging Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Actually we need to get the trade activity file from you for the fills you see on the chart. Follow these instructions: Trade Activity Log: Providing Trade Activity Log File to Support We need to look at this directly. thanks for your work! my timezone is EST my chart's time is 100 vol (vs 5 sec.) + the prices on the screenshot (how do I show it like this in my SC?) you shared are not the same. can it be that this is not the same trades? |

We apologize for the long delay here. There may be a problem with the trade activity query for the chart. Clean up any unnecessary files as explained here: Trade Activity Log: Trade Activity Not Displaying or Clearing (Improving Trade Activity Query Performance) Make sure the Order Fills Start Date-Time setting in the chart is correct: Trade Activity Log: Understanding and Setting the Start Date-Time for a Trades List We recommend disabling this setting: Chart Settings: Filter Initial Fills Which Are Part of Existing Position (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trading menu) Although it should not make any difference. If you still need help we can give you a example Chartbook to use. This should not matter but we are also going to be putting on a new release, in the morning.
