Is there any way to get the S&P 500 Top 10 (Weighted) Index on Denali data feed? I know I can generate charts of the top 10 and combine them with a weighting factor, but I was hoping for a clean one-chart solution. In case you're not familiar with this index, it is here: https://www.spglobal.com/spdji/en/indices/equity/sp-500-top-10-index/#overview I have done a [file][Find Symbol] search to no avail. No we do not have this symbol. But you can create a custom symbol: Custom Calculated Symbols For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

John (or Support), Is there a way of assigning a default name (e.g., SC500T10) to the synthetic (formula-based) symbol, so that it can be easily referenced? For example, when using sc.OpenChartOrGetChartReference to open a chart, specifying a compact name rather than the lengthy formulaic name. The formula consists of 10 weighting factors and 10 symbols... there must be a way to name or alias this? I tried the following new symbol settings, in hopes the name would appear in a [File][Find Symbol] search, to no avail: Historical Symbol: SP500T10
SC Data Symbol: SP500T10 Trade/Quote Symbol: SP500T10 I think you'll agree it's a bit cumbersome to have to refer to it (especially programmatically) as: 7.14*(MSFT-NQTV}+6.36*{AAPL-NQTV}+4.24*{NVDA-NQTV}+3.70*{GOOGL-NQTV}+3.65*{AMZN-NQTV}+2.54*{META-NQTV}+1.74*{BRK.B-NQTV}+1.43*{LLY-NQTV}+1.31*{AVGO-NQTV}+1.31*{TSLA-NQTV}+1.23*{JPM-NQTV}
As you know, any time I adjust the weights it means "name" also changes. Hence, the ability to define an alias is important. Please see the attached SC window capture for clarification. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-02-20 16:51:46

There is not a way to assign a short name to the symbol. The name is the formula (and vice versa).

Please consider adding a way to alias formulaic symbols. Even in your study drop-downs, it gets a bit ridiculous dealing with the full formulaic name. Perhaps consider overloading an existing field that is unused when [formula - yes] is active. Take a look at what happens here... Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-03-22 18:18:20
