Chart Calculator Tool does not calculate CV correctly with Add Additional Symbol study

Hello, when I add an extra symbol to a chart with the Add Additional Symbol study the Chart Calculator Tool does not calculate the currency value correctly. For example, for ESH24_FUT_CME the DIT +10 ticks displays a CV of about $50. I say about because it will show anywhere from $48.21 to $51.53 while the DIT remains set at +10.

I changed the symbol's price multiplier in the study’s settings from the default of 1 to .01 to have the right side price scale display the decimal point correctly, but noticed that it does not show .25 .50 .75 as the normal ES symbol does when it is not from an Add Additional Symbol study.

I just tested it and after setting the price multiplier on the added study to 0.01 all values are fine.

You have to make sure that you pick your targets precisely though.

Make sure you have "Auto Snap on Creation / Adjust" activated.
If not your pics will be off a couple pixels which could explain your resulting inaccuracy.

Thank you for testing it, but I have changed the price multiplier to .01 and the CV (currency value) is way off. For example, 10 ticks on ES should have a CV of $125.00 not $50.

When I test it by having the main graph be ES and then the Add Additional Symbol also be ES then the Chart Calculator tool will correctly calculate both of them, the main graph and the added symbol in chart region 2.

But if I have the main graph be NQ and add ES as the additional symbol then the Chart Calculator tool will go back to not calculating property and will give me a reading of $50 for 10 ticks which is not correct. It will however calculate the main graph correctly, it's only ES on the second graph that has the problem.

Hmm, Yeah I tested with MES and MES yesterday.
Just tried it with MNQ and MES and you are right, it appears the per tick currency value is derived from the main symbol.

Looks like the SC team would have to do some enhancement to the calculator tool in order to provide correct CVs.

main graph be NQ and add ES as the additional symbol then the Chart Calculator tool will go back to not calculating property

It calculates exactly as listed in the docs.

Chart Drawing Tools: Chart Calculator Configuration

Like user43 says it is based on the value per tick from the main chart.

User 43 and 431178, yes that’s what it appears to be doing. Maybe in a future upgrade when an additional symbol is added to a chart in the settings for that study there could be a place to add Tick Size for the additional symbol as there is in the Chart Settings for the main graph.

Then the Chart Calculation tool could access that information when someone uses it on the subgraph to get the correct CV for that symbol. Thank you both for your help.
