This will be ready towards the end of next week. Please wait. It does work now but we also had to do a server update which removed compatibility with older Sierra Chart versions. We are still doing a few improvements. Should be just 2 more weeks before everything is well done and then will be gradual improvements thereafter. How would this be used? If we share a chartbook with another acct user they could use it to trade their acct? And if I modified the chartbook theirs would update also? Thanks, |

they could use it to trade their acct? And if I modified the chartbook theirs would update also? Yes. Yes.The feature is very impressive. You can draw a line and in real-time the other user will see you drawing a line. You can use the Chart Values tool and the other user will see you using the Chart Values tool. You can adjust the height of a chart region and it adjusts on the other user side. You can scroll the chart and the chart scrolls on the other user's side. It does not have to be this way, you can always suspend the sharing and the state of the Chartbook last sent to the server becomes the last state the other users will have. You can share to a single user. You can publicly share it or you can share to a list of users ( even 1000 users if you want). The list of users can be defined by a text file. You can also share a Chartbook to yourself, among different instances of Sierra Chart. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. If I share a chartbook that contains a spreadsheet trading strategy, can a shared user use the same strategy? Also, can the spreadsheet be hidden from the shared users? Thanks, |

A spreadsheet is not transferred with Chartbook sharing. That functionality would need to be developed later.

I want to be able to share my charts between my laptop and PC using real-time chartbook sharing. Is it possible to sync two ways, or is it only master and slave? I'm not sure which device will be the master, as it will depend on whether I am traveling or not.

Not exactly. You would have to set one instance to receive a specific Chartbook and another instance to share that Chartbook. If you want to change directions, you then just have to configure each instance with the opposite configuration in regards to that specific Chartbook.

Is there any plan to add sharing of drawings via real-time chartbook sharing? Or maybe it already exists and I did not configure it correctly? |

Yes of course. Chart Drawings are shared. They are shared in real time. Nothing special to do. Make sure you are running an up-to-date version of Sierra Chart.

Can the subscriber make changes to the chartbook drawings while in Sharing mode? I'm sharing to my subinstance, and it seems like I'm not allowed to make drawing changes to the subinstance while in sharing mode.

Somehow I missed this reply, just tested again and works very well. Maybe I had too old a version of Sierra Chart last time around. Very good feature, thank you. |
