Yes this is now available. Make sure you are running the latest version of Sierra Chart. It is available if you have an account through Stage 5 and Teton.

Here is a video:

You can contact your broker and ask for the feature.

Has this feature been enabled at AMP?

so i was messing around in the trading evaluator with the teton profit/loss management feature.

I noticed that I can change/commit the daily loss limit during the current trading day and then the read only values change instantly as well.

This is bad because lets say I have it set to -200, and then i drawdown to -190. I can then go in and change the values to -400. and keep trading past the initial -200.

would there be a way to make it so that the read only values update at 5:30pm EST?

Is this feature still only supported with Stage 5? Any updates about other brokers? Specifically AMP?

We are not understanding this. In any case, there would not be any changes related to this.

This feature is not supported at AMP.

sorry, ill try explaining it differently as it might have been hard to grasp.

heres the logic i think teton should use/be so that users can use the read only values to confirm what teton is doing:

0. trader sets new-values and hits commit
1. teton stores the new-values and displays they have been saved/updated under pending-values (so the user can see teton accepted the new-values)
2. then at 5:30pm est, teton takes the pending-values and sets them as the current-values
3. the current-values then cannot be changed or updated by anyone for the FULL duration of the next trading session until the next 530pm est update
4. teton executes all rules met using the current-values

making it so that the Profit/Loss Management settings are set in stone,

thus making it so that there is "no way around this, because risk management must be strictly followed for it to be effective." - SC engineering (img 321)

I did upload a sample of what the read only area could look like (sample read onlys)

right now there is a loophole, and im just trying to help close it :)

There are inherent problems with this. What if you mistakenly enter a wrong value and Commit it.

At the very least, once one of the rules is met whether for profit loss or time, then you can no longer do any new trading.

you simply re-enter the value and commit it again before the 530pm est update,

and if by then its still wrong, then you have to update settings and wait till the next day for them to be applied

would it be possible to make it so the user can select yes/no if they want to lock values for next trading session, like im describing? that way its the best of both worlds
