I downloaded trial version of CodeWeavers and opened up Sierra chart on my MacBook Pro To test I copied .cht files from my windows PC Sierra chart data folder to the MacBook Pro Sierra chart data folder. After coping all the Chartbooks from my windows PC folder to MacBook Pro folder I open Chartbook in the MacBook Sierra chart but the copied Chartbook charts will not load. I left the MacBook on for ~60-mins and no chart has loaded |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMNR_8_MwDY After installation, right click the Sierra Chart bottle under Bottles in the CrossOver Window. Then select "Open C: Drive". Then find the Sierra Chart >> Data directory. Place your Sierra Chartbooks in this directory. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-01-09 21:59:37

Thank you The video was helpful. Do you have multiple bottles for different instances of sierra chart? |

You should just need 1 bottle for multiple instances with the same data source. You might need 2 bottles if running like Rithmic or CQG and Denali on the same PC.

@User377189 I had this issue with Parallels. I eventually figured out it was a file access permission issue. My setup: Parallels running Windows ARM. I initially ran Sierra Chart on this VM from a Mac folder. Now, the only alert sound that was playing in SC was the windows error sound (a soft ding). Despite the alert being configured properly in SC and playing properly inside Windows using Media Player, SC kept playing only the error sound. After combing through the forums, I saw that SC uses the Windows API to play sounds. I loaded up Python and tried to play my alert sounds through the Windows API as well and got the same result (only the error sound). I figured it was an access issue and copied SC to the local C: drive in the VM. Alerts started working. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-01-09 23:58:44

User377189 The alert sounds play for me. Go to the Window Menu >> Alert Manager. Select Alerts from the Menu and make sure the "Mute All Alerts Sounds" is not checked. Next go to the Global Setting Menu >> General Settings >> Alert. Make sure "Add Alert To Compact Alert Pop-up Window for (Alert ..)" is set to Yes. I have "Include Alert Comment in Alert E-Mail/Popup (for Alert ..)" and "Include User Defined Name in Alert E-Mail/Popup (for Alert ..)" set to Yes. Go to the Edit Menu. Make sure Alerts for Chart and Chartbook are not disabled. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-01-10 04:32:52
