I absolutely love SC.
A slight improvement that I suggest is that when an alert goes off, it would be really handy for the relevant chartbook and the relevant tab to blink to alert the user which alert is actually going off.
This would be really great for traders who monitor multiple commodities/indices.
thanks

Hey michelh,

Agreed SC is awesome.

I have about 60 alerts per minute going off, primarily due to my custom indicators, and I would hope the tabs don't begin to flash.

Can I suggest an audio alert tied to your study? That is how I distinguish the chart and the importance of the alert.

I'd be glad to walk you through setting one up.

You can get an enormous number of audio clips from www.freesound.org, or make your own -> http://www2.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php

I've attached sample audio alerts to give you an idea.

Cheers.

Global Settings; General Settings; General 3 Tab

There are 100 empty audio alert targets and I believe SC plays only WAV files.

You can save .WAV files to the default location under <sierra root>\AlertSounds

I also use Audacity to trim long WAV clips and convert MP3 to WAV.

if you have a frequent alert, the shorter the audio clip the better -> less than .01ms because it can clog the audio queue. Freesound.org lets you choose WAV and sort by shortest length.

Press CTRl-ALT-Q to clear the alert sound queue.
e.g. I use an inside-day and outside-day alert per instrument and sometimes price can hang around that level and clog the queue.
