Hi, I'm using Rithmic with Topstep and I have two different accounts on the same login. I want to trade NQ in one and CL in the other using ACSIL. What I've tried: 1. I have tried to use two different chartbooks on the same instance. The problem: My strategy doesn't allow new entries with working orders. I get an error when trying to enter an entry in a chartbook when there is a working order in another. This doesn't make sense because one working order in a different symbol/chartbook shouldn't affect the other. 2. Two different installations of sierra chart 3. Two different instances of sierra chart The problem: Sierra chart is buggy and keeps redownloading data on the both instances/installations and showing the usual messages when you download data for the first time. It keeps interrupting my workflow. What do I do here? |

First this is no problem at all: I want to trade NQ in one and CL in the other using ACSIL.
Make sure you are using different Trade Accounts for each of these:Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Trade Account (Selecting Trade Account for Chart / Trade DOM) When you use different Trade Accounts there is no conflict at all. There is no relationship between a trade account and a Chartbook. They are completely unrelated. A Chartbook is simply completely unrelated to this. This is strictly going to be a Rithmic issue. Not with Sierra Chart: The problem:
Sierra chart is buggy and keeps redownloading data on the both instances/installations and showing the usual messages when you download data for the first time. It keeps interrupting my workflow. Thanks for the quick response. I promise you that I am using two trade accounts from Rithmic as shown and I cannot open a new order in account A when account B has a working order while using ACSIL. This is the issue that I've been using multiple chartbooks/sierra instances to try to get around. |

Therefore, this must be a Rithmic issue: I promise you that I am using two trade accounts from Rithmic as shown and I cannot open a new order in account A when account B has a working order while using ACSIL.
This could not be any issue within Sierra Chart at all. That is not even possible. Or if there is an issue, you would have an order rejection within Sierra Chart and that would be given in the Trade >> Trade Service Log. Check the log and see what is happening at the time the order is submitted. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
