SC crashes when closing a chartbook by using the "Close Cbook" control bar button. This happpens only if the control bar with the Close Cbook button is attached to a chart in the chartbook that is to be closed. I first thought this is related to any of my custom ACSIL code, but I could replicate this behaviour in safe mode (using latest version 2568) with the simplest possible chartbook/chart configuration: single chart in chartbook, no studies loaded, one control bar attached on the chart contains the Close Cbook button. Crashing does not occur if either the "Close Cbook" menu item is selected, or the Control Bar with the Close Cbook button is attached to the SC application (not to a chart). It seems there is a memory access fault related to releasing chartbook resources when a chartbook is closed that contains a chart with an attached control bar from where the Close Cbook command is issued. This issue can be circumvented by not closing chartbooks via a Chart Control Bar, but it still is a fairly annoying fragility. I'd be grateful if SC engineering could look into this. |
