Does anyone know if the TTM squeeze is available to use on Sierra? or if there is also a scan available that uses the Squeeze parameters Thanks Ken |

Use the 20 Period 2 Std Deviation Bollinger Band and 20 Period Keltner Channel studies. Use the Awesome Oscillator study for the Momentum Histogram. Add the Bollinger Squeeze 3 Indicator (Squeeze Dots) study to the same region as the Awesome Oscillator and set the Ratio SG1 Subgraph to Ignore. Look at the Bollinger Squeeze studies also. https://school.stockcharts.com/doku.php?id=technical_indicators:ttm_squeeze https://phemex.com/academy/what-is-ttm-squeeze-indicator Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-11-27 14:17:20

As I understand from a post from SCE, the Bollinger Squeeze 3 study was meant to replicate the TTM squeeze, but I took a quick look at it and the histogram doesn't seem to ever go below the zero line, so I'm not really sure if it's doing the right thing.

Ah on further investigation, I think maybe BB Squeeze 3 is meant to be used just for the dots, and your preferred histogram oscillator (Awesome Osc, MACDH, etc.) for the histogram. If I'm wrong about this, someone please correct me.

j4ytr4der_ My suggestion was to use the Awesome Oscillator or Bill Williams Awesome Oscillator studies to replicate the TTM Squeeze Momentum Histogram. Set the Moving Average Length to 20. See the attached image from Trading View. The Awesome Oscillator is a good approximation of the TTM Squeeze Histogram. My other suggestion was to only use the Bollinger Squeeze 3 study "Squeeze Dots" added to the same region as the Awesome Oscillator to replicate the TTM Histogram Squeeze dots. The Squeeze happens when the Bollinger Band moves inside of the Keltner Channel. See the ellipse in the image below. https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=170122801298.png Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-11-29 04:32:19

Ahhh gotcha, two separate suggestions. Understood now.
