1) My SC Data folder is 111GB. Mostly old .scid and .dly futures contract files. They go back 3+ years. Can I just delete them? 2) How do I prevent them from saving in the future? 3) Would a clean install be better? 4) Which folder should I use to sync a cloud backup or should I backup entire SC folder? 5) I can give you access if desired. Thanks |

1) Refer to the following: Chart Data and Chart Data Files: Cleaning Up Old and Unused Symbols for Efficiency 2) You can not prevent them from saving. You need these files for the data you are dealing with at that time. You only want to remove the ones that you no longer need. 3) No - do not do a clean install. 4) Refer to the information on the various files at Step #5 of the following link: Transferring Sierra Chart Settings and Data From Existing Installation to New Installation: Transferring Sierra Chart Settings and Data From Existing Installation to New Installation 5) No need. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
