Hi SC support, Is that possible that user define certain pattern or rules then SC will follow these rules to search for the correct symbol? If US has 3000 stocks, If I worked out the rule. Shall I open 3000 stock symbol chart then scan? |

You can import a list of 3000 stocks into the Chart >> Associated Watch List: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_SwitchingSymbols.html#AssociatedSymbolList And then you can run a scan for your Alert Condition among the symbols in that list. Scanning also works with the Spreadsheet Alert study. It likely would be slower though because it does take more time to fill in the spreadsheet rows after changing the symbol of a chart when you are scanning thousands of symbols. Yes. The results of the scan are in the Window >> Show/Hide Alerts Manager >> Alerts Log. The reason this is the case is that when the Alert Condition is TRUE for the last bar the chart, it is added to the log. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Yes, that is what we mean. You will only get Alert messages for the last bar where the Alert Condition Formula is true. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
