Hello,
I am trying to configure a Time and Sales window and it appears that the input and combined filtering don't work.
I am running the 2555 version of Sierra.
When I modify and try to set different values in the input and/or combined filtering window, nothing changes. The time and Sales doesn't change, no combination is done and it is unreadable because way too fast.
This is the same result either "combine records" setting I use.

Any advice or something to do ?

Thank you

Jerome

First, in order to Combine records, you need to set the option at the top of the Time and Sales Settings page for "Combine Records" to something other than "Do Not Combine". Once the records are combined, then you can use the "Combined Filtering" to filter out the combined records based on the chosen filter.

For the general filtering (Input Filtering), you need to think of it as a "Pass Through" filter - that is you are setting the filter for what you want to see, not what you do not want to see. For example, to filter out all trades less than 5, you would set the filter for "Volume >=" to "5".

Refer to the information at the following link for more:
Time and Sales Window: Input Filtering >> Volume >= | Volume <=

Thank you for your answer but this is exactly what I did. But no result.
For example, I set :
- Combine records with same price and type
- input filtering volume >= 5
Apply

Then I continue to see every single volume. I see the volume column full of lines with only 1 volume. I was expecting lines with 5 volume

It happens the same thing if I set combined filtering volume >= 5 instead of input filtering.

And if I change the combine records, it is stil the same...

Any global setting to check or option to set ?

We are not seeing any issues with the filtering at all.

The one thing to keep in mind with regards to the "Combined Filtering" is that it only applies to those records that are combined. Therefore, you will still see volumes less than the filtered amount for those trades that were a single trade with less than the specified amount. If you want to remove all trades (combined or not) then you would need to use both filtering options.

Apart from the above, please do the following for us. Set the "Combine Records" to "Do Not Combine". Then enter a value of 5 in the Input Filtering for "Volume >=" field and select OK to close the Settings window.

Please verify that the "Volume" column does not show any volumes less than 5. If it does, then please get us a screenshot of what you are seeing.

Here it is :

Screenshot 1 : with the settings as requested. You can see that the filter doesn't look to work as a lot of lines have a volume below 5.

Screenshot 2 : With the combine records set on "with same time and price" and nothing in input nor combined filtering, we can see that some volumes seem to be combined but if I try to set a value in input or combined filtering window (ie volume >= 5) then the volumes are not combined anymore and you get the same view as the screenshot 1.

Please turn off the option for "Show Bid and Ask Records". We think what you are seeing are the Bid/Ask updates and not the actual trades. The bid/ask updates are not affected by the filtering.

Hi, ok that's it.
It is much better like this and combination and filtering are now working normally.
Thank you for your help.

I have another question please :

I've been using a custom study since several months now and it was with version 2509 of Sierra.
I recently updated Sierra to version 2555 and since this update, there is an issue with this custom study.
Actually, this study draws some areas (extending rectangles) and I was using a transparency setting for these rectangles.
Since the Sierra update, the transparency doesn't work anymore. I still can see the setting, and set a value but nothing changes.

Does it come from you or from the study ?
Thank you

The issue is with study. Therefore you need to ask the creator of the study to check on what is occurring.
