Hi, I followed your instructions and created a sample auto trading system as described here on your site: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_SystemsAlerts.php Chart does have arrows and it even trades real time. But how can I see backtesting results? I did a replay, the chart looks like it is trading but when I click Trade/Trade activity log, it is always empty with no statistics from backtesting. What am I missing here please? Thank you |

Here is the documentation: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TradeActivityLog.php Make sure you set Trade Activity source to "Replay/Backtest" at the top of the Trade Activity Log. I did choose Replay/Backtest in the past already and am not sure what am I doing wrong even after going through the documentation. Here are my steps: 1. I opened SC with an FXCM live data feed (SC Forex data) 2. I opened a chart of GBPUSD 15m 3. I added stochastic crossover system that is already in the Analysis tab http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1367745254976.png 4. Settings in Trade tab are as in attached pic 5. I clicked Auto trade system Replay/Backtest and clicked Yes 6. Sierra started a replay as seen in second attached pic 7. When it is finished, my Trade activity log looks empty as attached. What did I miss please? I also send you a copy of my Log. Thank you for your assistance. |

The Stochastic Crossover System is not an automated trading study. It only gives a visual indication of trade signals. You will not find any actual automated trading systems in Analysis >> Studies >> Studies Available. There are some examples in Analysis >> Studies >> Add Custom Study >> Sierra Chart Custom Studies . They begin with "Trading". Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point. I see. Thank you! I tried "Trading example with attached orders" and now the Trade Activity Log is nicely filled with data. Is there a way I can access this sample file and modify it or must I create a new trading system from scratch? |
