Brought up intraday chart of SPX500 and VOLX which worked fine, then made a symbol {SPX500}/{VOLX} without luck. Thanks |

Did you make sure you setup all the symbol items that need to be set properly for the Custom Calculated Symbol? The information is at the following link: Custom Calculated Symbols: Instructions Another common issue is that the option at the top of the Global Symbol Settings page for "Use Custom Symbol Settings Values" is not enabled. Set Uses Formula Operators setting to Yes. Download Historical Data for Formula Symbol setting to Yes. Category set to Custom Symbols. Made a symbol {SPX500}/{VOLX} Left Price Format at .001 Left Tick size at .010000 Set Currency Value per Tick from 0 to 1 (no idea what it should be, neither 0 or 1 or .1 helped). Use Custom Symbol Settings Values is Enabled. Have 1 min chart of SPX500 elsewhere. Have 1 min chart of VOLX elsewhere so they work. File >> Find Symbol works. Is the option at the top of the Global Symbol Settings page for "Use Custom Symbol Settings Values" enabled? We just tried this custom symbol and we are not having an issue with it. With regards to the Currency Value per Tick, it does not matter, as you can not trade this chart directly. Using SC data. "Use Custom Symbol Settings Values" is enabled {SPX500}/{VOLX} - is this symbol same you are using, exactly? Blank screen still. Version 2504 64 bit. When I right click on this new blank chart my short cut menu does not appear but does on all other charts. Left overnight, still blank Tried SPX500/VOLX, now it says symbol not recognized. We created this symbol {SPX500}/{VOLX} and we are getting the data without any issue. We can not say for sure, but you should really update to a current version in order to eliminate any issues that could be related to being on an older release.
