Are there any plans to include a study for just SAR crossover? Or is it already there somewhere? TX

So are you looking to color a bar or get an alert when there is a crossover of the parabolic study and the price graph?

I am trying, separately, to create an alert for when the the SAR changes back and forth, but I would also like to get a visual indication on the chart, like a red or green dot or marker of that sort. Thanks

This can be done by using the Color Bar Based On Alert Condition study: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_TechnicalStudiesReference.html#s245 It can also create an audible alert. Thanks for that. I believe I can follow those instructions. My problem is that I can not create the original alert. I do not see an operator for "Crossover." Can you give me a pointer? Probably simple if you know it. Cheers |

Getting closer. Using the alert condition, =CROSSOVER(SG1,C), I do not get a rejection and the plot of SAR looks good on the main chart. When I use =1 I get the chime for the alert, and all the bars go to magenta (as I chose) for the color bar based on alert condition. But can you make the alert color bar persist on the chart after you have passed the bar with the alert- in time, that is? I can see from the plot of the SAR where the crossovers are, but I would like to see the bar in magenta, "permanently," too. Thanks! |
