Hi, is it possible to use a large tick data file with SC, that was purchased from a 3rd party data source ? Lets say 10years of tick data from a vendor ?
Thanks in advance for your help

FWIW I've used tick data files from 3-4gb going back to 2008 w/out issue. 10 yrs of ES data would be a large file...probably ~2.5gb per year.

Thanks for your replies. How do I import tick data file into Sierra and create a custom symbol. I want to use that tick data file to create other renko charts etc, like I would with other symbols. Hope I'm clear in what I'm asking

We already gave you a link to the documentation for importing data. It has complete instructions.

Specifically what is not clear about the documentation? Keep in mind importing is not necessarily a simple thing because the data format has to be correct. So you need to take the time to read the documentation and understand what you are doing and make sure the data is of the right format.

We also do not know what is meant by "custom symbol". Once the data is successfully imported, you can create Renko bars.
