i cant make a real money trade when im not in simulation mode. when i check my trade log my trades are all sim even when i select no sim

You need to set Sierra Chart to connect to your Trading service. This is controlled through the Data/Trade Service Settings Window:

amp brokerage says they have me connected to teton and only sierra charts can figure this problem out?

The problem is you did not set the Clearing Firm setting to AMP. It needs to be set that way.
