Using study price overlay for a slope but the issue I’m having is that at times it will show negative/positive slope and then change like if it never happened , how can this be fixed ?

attached pic shows area with positive slope (green) but was showing negative slope (red) when candles printing at live time.

the area in question is where the orange area and orange circle are located

We need more specific information. What study are you overlaying and what is it about the slope that you are doing?

I'm overlaying the Mcclellan oscillator from a higher time frame and I have "Auto Coloring : based on slope", at times it will show a slope either positive or negative and then change as if it was never the opposite. in the pic I attached, the area pointed by orange arrow was a negative slope (red) and then it just went to positive slope (green). How can I set it up that it won't change until it's exact like it does in other in instances

Study values change during bar creation.

If you plot a study from a slower chart onto a faster one, there is always the possibility that the slower study is fluctuating between up and down.

Especially when the slope is shallow like in the area you're referring to in your pic.

There's nothing unusual about it changing from red to green. You won't get a fixed color until the slower time frame bar is complete.

thanks @cmet for your response. Is there a way to have it not change during fluctuation and only change when bar closes on slower chart?

There is not a way to have the coloring not change during development and only update when the bar closes when using the Study/Price Overlay itself.

To do this, you would have to color the Study/Price Overlay using the "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition" and create multiple copies to color the bar as you want and have them update only on the Bar Close. Refer to the following:
Color Bar Based on Alert Condition
