Why does the auto coloring feature for +- values work correctly for the "study subgraph below bar as text" but it does not work correctly for study "text display study from chart" The drop down box is present but the feauture does work. If the dat is text, then why does one study work and not the other? This is very frustrating, I am trying to view Chart/spreadsheet data on my trading DOM...(not chart Dom) and cant see when my data changes direction very well because I cant see color change. Please advise to the best solution...thank you. in attached screen shot I want the text to change color based +- |

The "Text Display For Study from Chart" is creating a Custom Drawing, which is not controlled through the "Auto-Coloring" options. The only way to get a different color is to modify the code for that study. My point is why is one study which utilizes text data being configured correctly to respond to color change and not the other? I am not a programmer so your response is currently beyond my capability. I have asked a programmer and their response was for me to look closer because the auto coloring is in the existing drop down box. (not knowing that its not functional) My final point is why with the myriad of endless options that takes months to master within SC, is this seemingly simple auto coloring on +- data task not already handled? Surely I am not the first or last client to question this missing feature. Auto coloring exists with nearly every study on SC, why not this one? So it seems I am stuck to pay a programmer hundreds of $, for what can only be considered an oversight by SC. |

We will just leave it as there is a technical reason for this due to how Sierra Chart is programmed then. It is by no means an oversight. We do understand your request to have this functionality changed, and we take into consideration all requests (and yes, this has been requested by others as well). But there are a lot of things to do and we can not say when we will get to any particular request. Thank you John for responding, I apologize for my tone, but this issue is costing me $ consistently. Perhaps if SC is going to attempt resolution, instead of rewriting "text display from study" it would be easier programing task to concentrate on making study "subgraph reference" or "study subgraph above below bar as text" function on trading DOM. Thank you |
