Hi My name is Karl. I have been with Sierra chart since 2013 & I have been through many changes with you. I seem to have a data rollover issue (Sept) to the Dec contract Z for some reason on the FDAXU23-EUREX. My settings are automatically set to rollover to the Dec contract which is FDAXZ23-EUREX but this hasn't happened ?, its still on the September FDAXU23-EUREX contract, data was coming in today but not the correct data? but stopped at noon(UK) when the contract expires, then but no rollover on my charts? I can do a manual switchover in the symbol settings box & the data will come in but I shouldn't have to do this as its set to automatically rollover to the new December contract which it has done in the past as it does at the end of each quarter. To manually do this on all chart books is a bit of a task & the functionality of the automatic rollover does generally provide this. Please advise as I would like your feedback before manually changing as there is possibly a settings issue that I'm unaware of? that may resolve this but i haven't change any settings at all. Will it rollover come Monday I don't know?. I do have screen shots but don't seem to be able to drag & drop. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. Kind regards, Karl. |

The default rollover rule in the Symbol Settings for the FDAX is "0 calendar days before the 3rd Friday of the contract month." Today is the 3rd Friday of the month, so it should have rolled over today. But, if you have a value entered for the option of "Global Settings >> General Settings >> Charts >> Additional Days to Add to Rollover Date for Chart and Quote Board Rollovers", then the actual rollover day will be offset by the value in this setting. Refer to the following: General Settings Window: Additional Days to Add to Rollover Date for Chart and Quote Board Rollovers (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Charts >> Charts) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi John, its Karl. Yes it should have rolled over but it didn't on Friday & the default setting is set as 0 as you say, I did check again this Friday evening the 15th I read the link you sent at the bottom there also. Saturday morning the 16th the charts fully loaded with all the data flushed in & I thought that's great. I even filled in my spread sheet with the open, close, high, low , delta, range, volume etc for Friday's records. What is concerning opening up on Sunday for my weekly review this saved chartbook had reverted to how it was on Friday but now has the FDAXZ23-EUREX DEC contract on it which is correct but the full data is now not there?. I have looked at your link, gone through the settings & I can't see what's wrong?. I have gone back a week & done delete & download but this isn't resolving the issue. As you will appreciate missing data affects all positions of value areas, composite profiles & all other business decision areas on a trading chart when data isn't complete. Data just won't flush in for some reasons which it did not Saturday which is still concerning. As I write Monday 08.50 UK time a fellow trader has emailed me to say Big data issues across the board now??. Please update & advise & thank you for your patience. Kind regards, Karl. |
