During Replay mode, random, automatic entry orders seem to be made by the software. I cannot see any pattern to it. Could anyone help me troubleshoot this?

The system will not place random orders. There has to be something setup that is causing this.

Look at the information in your Trade Activity Log for these Orders and see what the "OrderActionSource" is stating for where the order is coming from.

Refer to the following for how to filter the information to get to what you want:

Note that this only occurs during Replay, not during live marketing sim trading.

From the attached screenshot, between 10:50am to 11:15am notice there are legit orders that follow price and these 'stray' orders that are continuously being entered about 50 points below the actual price action.

I certainly don't think it's any fault of the software, but rather something must be set up wrong. Restarting the program did not solve it, but it does seem to have stopped around 11:15am mark.

I'm not sure what to make of the log file, so I've attached a screenshot.

Thanks for your assistance.

What is the bar period of the chart?

Are the bars displayed using any special study, such as Heikin-Ashi?

This chart is using 4-tick true range bars.

There are dozens of studies, not H-A though. Happy to show all the studies if necessary

jivetrader,

I don't know if this is the problem you are having, but if you don't "clear all trade data for symbol and account" when you start the replay, all the previous orders and positions will show by themselves when you are replaying a chart.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Rui, I was concerned because the orders are nowhere near the current price at the time of replay. Notice the vertical disparity.
