Hi, my internet connection is not very fast (high latency) and I do not expect improvements as the area where I live is not included in the planned expansion of fiber connectivity. I have read that UDP protocol is faster than TCP so I entered the configuration of my router and added a new port mapping rule: I assigned external ports 10000 to 10100 (they appeared to be available) to exclusive use by SierraChart_64.exe using UDP protocol (I left internal port as "same port", did not know what else to input) and flagged "any host" at the option "Traffic coming from?". Do you think that what I did makes sense in order to improve the speed of data transmission in and out of Sierra Chart? (I don’t know much about protocols and ports...). And if so, is SierraChart_64.exe the right application to point to the router? |

Do not do what you did. Undo it. We only use UDP for certain external communications. Refer to the following: UDP Interface We do not send our data or trading information using UDP. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
