Hello,

Just a quick question. I am working on a study that reads into the Alert Log files in the SierraChart\Logs directory and I need to know how often new Alert Log files get created. For example in the course of the same day, alerts are going off at different times, is a new Alert Log file created every new hour?

I noticed that if multiple alerts are triggered within a short time period, they all get added to the same file, but I have seen there can also be multiple alert files for the same day.

Documentation on the topic: General Settings Window: Save Alerts Log to File (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Log >> Log)

This is resolved, for now I determined that a new alert log file is created each time Sierra Chart is started and a Chart Drawing Alert occurs. If you close and re open Sierra Chart and a Chart Drawing Alert occurs, it will generate a new log file. Other than that I believe a new file will only be created when the time passes to the next day.
