Hey,

Been using the Large Trade Volume Indicator for a while and it's not showing up anymore on my charts since I upgraded SierraChart to the latest version. I've tried different parameters to see if something was bugged or if it was a display issue but I can't get it to work at all.

Is this a known issue? How can I best provide information for support to guide me through re-enabling it?

Thanks!

We just tried this on version 2538 and are not seeing any issues.

Please attach a chartbook with a single chart that shows the issue you are having and we will take a look. Follow these instructions to get us the chartbook:

The attached image shows what we see when we open your chart on version 2538 (current Pre-Release).

We are not seeing anything wrong.

The one item that we want to point out, and we do not know why this is occurring, is that when we open the chart, the bars are shrunk down, it's as if the chart is trying to display some zero values. Changing the Scale Setting for the Large Volume Trade Indicator to "Same As Region" resolves this.

I was able to make it work just now, although I cannot see previous data. I believe that the culprit was either one of these:

1- Data compression was set to high. I enabled standard compression instead.
2- Intraday data storage was set to 1 second, I instead put it at 1 tick.

From the study's help page: "This study requires that the data in an Intraday Chart Data file is tick by tick. Otherwise, there are no markers displayed. Refer to Tick by Tick Data Configuration."

Therefore, I assume the issue was the data storage being set to 1 second.

Thanks for the help.

It definitely would be the Data Storage Time Unit. It must be Tick data for that study (among others) to work properly.
