Hi Sierra Can you help me with a formula please Is there a way to write a formula on color background based on alert condition to show me wicks? The part of the formula I am struggling with is = Close of the bar is say 4 ticks less than the high (this should give me a pin bar or a rejection wick) Can I do this? Can you help? |

The formula for a bar that has a close that is 4 ticks less than the high is the following: =C < H - 4 * TICKSIZE Note that this is "Less Than". If you want to include the situation where it is also exactly 4 ticks, then you need to change the operator from "<" to "<=". Thanks John I think my question was wrong but your answer was clear, I think I can do what I want now. If I wanted a Bullish Pin Bar to highlight =O>L+TICKSIZE*4 Open above Low by 4 ticks, is that correct? And the opposite would be =C<H - TICKSIZE*4 Close less than high by 4 ticks. |
