Using Gold as an example when I compare my daily historical chart to other platforms for gold I'm getting totally different results from Sierra than from the other 3 charts so I must have a setting incorrect. In Sierra when I look at 7/3, 7/7, and 7/8 I have red candles with wicks at the bottoms. 7/9 is green with a big wick at the top and right now 7/10 is showing a big green candle with a big wick at the top. In the other platforms the 7/3 candle is identical, but 7/7 & 7/8 are dojis, 7/9 is green but it's a bigger green candle with a smaller wick at the top compared to the Sierra wick and right now the 7/10 candles all match. The symbol I'm using in Sierra for gold is GCQ14/GCQ4. |

Re-download the data with Edit >> Delete All Data and Download. If you still see an issue, then we need to see an image of the chart. Here are the instructions for that: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#Image Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. The delete and download data didn't work. I'm trying to upload the chart, which it says it's done it but I don't see it. Windows 7 doesn't have a clipboard feature so I'm trying out how to get the chart to you. Don't know if it's attached to this reply or not - I don't see it.

There is no problem here. Refer to the prices for August GC here: http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/metals/precious/gold_quotes_settlements_futures.html#tradeDate=07/08/2014 Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. The other platforms are showing different closing prices. I suspect they are showing Globex close and maybe you're showing the pit close. I want the close as of 5:15 pm est.

Sierra Chart will show the official settlement price from the exchange. This is not the same as the last trade price. We think this is the document which explains the settlement calculation used by the exchange: http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/metals/files/daily-settlement-procedure-gold-futures.pdf Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Exactly. I want the last trade price. Can I do that in Sierra? I can set what I want the bars to show on an intra day basis - which is 5:15pm est, can I do that on a daily basis? If not, why is that not an option if I can do that on an intra day chart?

This can be done by using an Intraday chart. This is explained at the bottom of this page: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartSettings.html#CreatingDailyBarswithCustomStartandEndTimes Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
