I save my list of symbols every day for trading as a historical reference when I need to review my trades. It is also very useful for aligning the symbols on multiple Quote Boards for a given day. The problem is the FILE menu is only showing old symbol files. I understand that a limit is necessary (seems like 20 is the limit) but it would be much more useful to have the most recent 20 files created listed rather than the oldest 20. Could you modify this to show the most recent 20 files? |

We are on the File menu do you see "old symbol files"? This is not making sense to us. This does not exist. The File menu does contain a list of recently open Chartbook and Spreadsheet files but those are always the most recent ones. Not old. The Quote Board also does not list recent files at all, at least not within the File menu itself. If you are referring to the window that opens after you select "File >> Load Symbol List", then this is ordered by Name by default. You can click on the "Modified Date Time" column to sort by date and time.

Sorry but it does have a list. See my attached screenshot. Perhaps you have not saved anything. If you have saved nothing you will not see the list. |

This is definitely resolved. The order of the symbol lists is according to the file modified time. This was tested by us, and absolutely it is resolved. In any case, if it is not working as you require we cannot do anything more with this. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. I looked again and realised you sorted in descending order. I was thinking the latest one would be at the bottom. My error. CASE CLOSED. |

I am still finding a bug with this. I have not been trading for a couple of weeks and just tried out the new sorted feature. When I click the top item in the list (i.e. the most recent) it loads and selects the list second from the top. If I click the second from the top, it loads & selects the third from the top. If you select the bottom item in the list nothing happens as there is nothing below it. I think there is still a bug. |
