I see many studies available like-

'Trading: Daily Profit/Loss'
'Trading: Position Quantity'

Am I missing a 'Trading: Open Profit/Loss'?

I want to use these in tandem with the 'Write Bar and Study Data to File'. I see no data for Open Profit/Loss for a chart.

Any help is appreciated

Thank you

There is a workaround that I use.
1. Add a spreadsheet study to your chart
2. Expose the "Open Profit/Loss (read-only):" value by placing this formula
=J9
in column M row 3.
3. Add the study "Study Subgraph Reference" to your chart.
4. Reference the spreadsheet study and select"M(SG3)".

You can now use the value however you would like to.

No that is not supported. The information of that is not available historically and would not work reliably. It is not anything we would ever offer.

Sierra_Chart Engineering- Not looking for Historical information of Open Profit/Loss, just something that would export with the "write bar data' study. If I can see it on screen with a 'Trading: Profit/Loss Text' study, why doesn't it write to file?

Thank you Ticks- I tried your method. However, nothing is produced in the Write Bar Data study file. I appreciate your time.

This is because the study Trading: Profit/Loss Text does not output data to a Subgraph.

You can create your own custom study to accomplish what you need. Refer to:
