I linked two charts in one CB with L1 and linked "bar period" and "scroll position". But it does not seem to work. See sreenshot the two charts at the bottom left. |

We had a look at the chart image and is not very clear what you are trying to show. We see no obvious problem. There should not be any trouble with chart linking as long as all the charts that are linked together are within the same Chartbook. ok, probably I misunderstood "scroll position". When I link two charts with "scroll position" should then the second chart zoom in and out the same way as I do in chart one? hm, well guess not. |

Scroll position only affects the actual position of the scroll box in the scrollbar at the bottom of the chart and the last bar displayed. It does not affect the spacing between the bars.

ok, but it should this work also with the hand tool. so if I move with hand tool one chart, should the other one follow? and sychronous bar spacing would be also great feature :-). |

We have tested this. When using the Hand tool, charts that are linked by Scroll Position all moved together. The only exception is when you are using the Hand tool to add or remove fill space on the right side of the chart. We will see about linking by Bar Spacing as well but the next chart linking item we will be adding support for is studies. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. indeed. I just did not figure out because I was moving fill space most of the time. because usually thats how I move charts. not because I intentionally want to change the fill space, but I look at the most recent price action and move it a bit arround to find the best spot to view it. so for me it would make more sense also to parallel move them even if fill space changes by that. but --- not very important... |
