I use an alert sound for a study, but each time the Alert Manager also opens. Where/how can I basically turn off the Alert Manager for this study?

You can globally prevent the Alerts Log from opening, with this global setting in General Settings:
General Settings Window: Show Alerts Log On Study Alert (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts >> Additional Settings)

Thank you John. I had checked my settings again and from my point of view I have set everything correctly. Unfortunately, the "Alert Log" still appears (see pic).

I use a self programmed study here. Can this be the reason?

Many thanks

Yes that would make sense because your study must be opening the Alerts Log.

It has the ability to do that.

The "problem" was solved in the DLL.

In this context I noticed that in "Additional Settings/ Show Alert Log..." the setting is valid for all alerts.

Is there a way to set it individually for each alert?

Many thanks

Within the study you would have to determine whether to show the log or not. Refer to the following and note the "ShowAlertLog" variable in the function:
sc.AddAlertLine()

I am sorry, John. In Post #5 I meant it in general for "Standard" Alerts.

Many thanks

As mentioned in the beginning of this thread, there is not an option to prevent the alert log from opening on a per study (per alert) basis. You only have the global option, unless you are using a custom study, where you then have full control.

I'm having the same issue but I can't figure out what I have selected that causes it to keep popping up. Is there any other setting it could be coming from?
I added a screenshot of my settings.
Thanks

You have an alert on a drawing setup on chart #25 for a Horizontal Ray that has an ID of 34.

Are you having the Alert Manager opening when the alert is true?

Yea the alert that I have attached to that line is the Alert 21 RBOB shown below. And the Alert Manager will open when that is true.

When we use your chart and get the alert for that drawing per your setup, we do not get the Alert Manager coming up.

If you try it with this chartbook that you created, do you still get the Alert Manager coming up?

Yea youre right and I think I realised the issue. I had insufficient funds in the account to send a text on the alert trigger and this seems to be what was causing the Alert Manager to pop up, would that be the cause? I unchecked it when I sent it to you thinking it was unrelated.

We would expect the Message Log to come up if you did not have the funds to send the SMS, but this is possibly the reason for the Alert Manager. Were you able to verify it on your end?

Yea, I can verify it was the lack of funds in the Send Text selection that caused it. Thanks for helping out
