I'm to the point where I suspect this isn't possible without custom coding, but thought I'd ask here and see if there is some clever way I haven't found yet. I'm running automation built around the Trading System Based On Alert Condition study, on 4 instruments. I want to be able to selectively enable/disable longs, or short, on each instrument, at any time I see fit. ACS buttons are the obvious way to go. I have 4 control bars (4 through 7) and on each one I have a different pair of buttons (100 through 107), and each long & short entry study on each instrument, is mapped to the appropriate button. Everything works fine as far as that goes. The problem is that all 4 control bars, and all 8 buttons, appear to be state-dependent based on each chart. So, I have chart 1 in focus, and I enable shorts on all 4 control bars. Now if I select a different chart, all 4 control bars change to show that nothing is enabled. If I put chart 1 back in focus, it goes back to showing that shorts are enabled for all 4 charts. Every time I switch chart focus, the control bars all change their state. Clearly this won't work since I need to know at all times what's enabled for each chart, irrespective of which one is in focus. Anyone know of a way to address this without having to custom code a solution? |
