How to trade micros on a emini chart?

I've set MESM23 in the Trade and Current Quote Symbol and ESM23 in the Symbol sections of the chart settings, but on the trading evaluator eminis are being traded in the log and this is reflected in the PL. I've also tried setting MES?#.CME in Trade/Quote Symbol section of ES?## under the global symbol settings to no avail. How do i trade micros on the emini chart?

If you have set MESM23 as the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" then it is what is being traded. As to the P/L, you need to adjust the "Currency Value per Tick" for the chart to reflect the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol". I got stopped out of my MES when the ES hadn't hit my stop yet (see https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1683226986462.png). Is this because MES went to that price? How can I just get stopped out when the ES hits that price?

Techotomy- If I understand the issue, you could write a simple alert condition for Buy/Sell Exit to automatically trigger your stop loss instead of using attached order via trade ticket. Below steps should work: 1) Do a PriceOverlay Study to get the Last price of MES on your ES chart 2) create BuyExit and SellExit alert study and trigger exit only when ABS(ES_Price - MES_Price)<=0.25... this will trigger a Stoploss market order on MES when price reaches the intended level on ES. |
