Hello,

Can you please let me know how to find the new symbols for SPX and ES? the documentation says:

"Sierra Chart has a real time data feed for NASDAQ Global Indexes which covers the major US and world indexes and numerous other indexes. Approximately 10,000 indexes are available.

Indexes include: S&P 500 index, Dow Jones Industrials index, NASDAQ 100 index, Volatility index."

But S&P 500 index does not exist in the GIDS_Directory excel spread sheet.

It is important for me to get the cash index for SPX, and the direct future data for ES futures.

are you saying that this is not available for SC anymore?

Please advise.

The nqgi replacement for SPX and volq is not usable due to y axis being completely misaligned.

Hi John,

I see that you are getting CTA from NYSE, can we access the SPX indices from NYSE using the new consolidated tape?

It looks like this is not accessible from sierra chart currently.

Would you be able to set up access? Is this difficult on your end? It would be really appreciated

Yes this is a very good point! We did see the indices from NYSE but as of yet we have not implemented them. We did not realize they have the S&P 500.

Thank you for your response. That would be wonderful and undoubtably an improvement to the platform.

We just had a look, and these are not accessible to us. So there is going to be an additional cost. We will find out from the NYSE what that is.

Do you know what kind of time line I can expect to be able to access SPX from SC again? I am sure most people who require SPX in their trading are looking at alternatives currently.

HI Sc Support team
I searched all support board and this one is the most recent one i am able to find.

i jsut have quick question..i understand we dont have cash index for snp.. I am using spx500 and trading options on same via ibkr.
can i say that spx500 is best availble proxy for cash index and it is real time?

i have denali , totalvieww and consolidated tape. Please let me know if i need to scubscribe to anything else to get real time data for closest proxy of snp cash index.
a lot of threads mentioned SC exchange data feed but on SC documentation page it says that that feed has been discontinued.

We no longer have the actual S&P 500 cash index data. The SPX500 is data for the CFD data, which will be similar to the cash index.

You can also look through the list of items available through the "NASDAQ Global Indices" and see if you find something that will work for you in that list. You have access to this data. Refer to the information at the following link:
