I want to set the Horizontal Ray Lines in a specific way...

I want to set 2 different templates for horizontal lines..

I now hot te change the properties of the tools.. But I don't want to modify the every time I set a line in the chart...

For example if I set a resistance lines I want it red, 2 point width and with a text of "Previous High" and the opposite for Support in green color.

What I don't want is to be defining every time those attributes.

I want to know if I can customize 2 different buttons with that properties or something similar... I want to press a button and get 1 line with my resistance atributes.. press another button and get 1 line with my support atributes.

I don't want to sound like a complainer...

Researching the manuals, it SEEMS that what I need does not exist?

Do you have a tool where I don't have to be defining two points to draw a line, which in turn can be stored as a template and you can attach a text and this text accompanies the right end of the line ALL the time?

Because neither Horizontal Line nor Ray Line allow this. They do allow you to draw a line without having to define it and one of them even allows you to extend it to the next intersection. But if I want to attach a text and save it in a template, I can NOT do it.

This means that just because I want to save a text attached to a line, I have to define two points to draw a straight line, and open dialog boxes EVERY time to name that line.

And believe me, this while you're backtesting, it's horrible. Tiring.

Do you have something similar to the above?

Don't get me wrong, you guys have the software excellence. You are like the Harvard of software. But I can't believe you don't have this capability available to the user... something that TradingView has so easily... and they're like the neighborhood high school.

Horizontal Ray and Horizontal Line both have the ability to do what you want. It is an option in the Configuration that is called Copy Config Name to Text.

What you would do is set the Configuration as you want it, including enabling the option for Copy Config Name to Text, and give the configuration a name when you save it. This name will then be the label that is associated with the line when you draw it using that configuration. Refer to the following for more on this:
Chart Drawing Tools: Common Tool Configuration Settings and Chart Drawing Properties

And then you can setup Control Bar Buttons to select a specific drawing and configuration. Refer to the following:
