Hello Sierra

REF - PROBLEMS WITH PRICE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BROKERS AND SIERRA

I only trade a few symbols, mainly the indices (GER40, NASDAQ, WALL STREET etc). The issue I am facing is the discrepancy in prices between what is reported on Sierra and what is reported at the brokers. I am 11 Pips adrift on NASDAQ but 56 pips difference on GER30. This makes fast trading (scalping) very difficult for me.

So, my questions are: -
1.  On Sierra ‘NAS100’ (i.e., Brokers US Tech 100) why is the price 11 to 13 pips difference?

2.  On Sierra ‘GER30’ (i.e., Brokers GER40) why is the price 56 pips difference?

3.  The Brokers offer GER40, Sierras list GER30. Are they the same? If they are the same instruments, then why are they different labels? Or should I be using a different Sierra Symbol?

4.  Overall, are the price differences because I am only on Package 3? If so, what package would give me the ‘real’ live data?

5. Or am I using the incorrect symbols on Sierra to trade US TECH 100 and GER 40 on the brokers?

I have added a screen shot so you can see the differences in prices

Thanks Mark B

You are using CFD symbols and these symbols come from FXCM and all of your questions can only be answered by FXCM. We do not know the answer to any of them.

We do have a new NASDAQ Global Indexes data feed you might be interested in part of the Denali Exchange Data Feed. It has no cost. Although you do have to be on Service Package 10 to use it. We will have a delayed version of it out soon that you can use on your Service Package. This way you can evaluate it first. That should be out near the beginning of May. More information:
