1) In Auto-trade Teton->CME, have a Triggered Stop that goes in as a child of a parent Market order, with a Trigger Offset significantly away from current price. 2) The Market order gets Filled and Triggered Stop shows Held on the Trade Activity Log correctly. 3) Almost instantly even though the actual price has barely moved, get message in Trade Activity Log that Trigger price met for stop Removing held order from trail management list since it has been sent to trade service. and it is modified from OrderStatus:Held to OrderStatus:Sent, and becomes an active stop.4) Has happened on both and Buy Entry and Sell Entry. What could be causing the instant trigger, or is this perhaps from being sent to the CME? If Teton>CME doesn't support Triggered Stop, then what would be the SC recommended Order Type for Teton->CME similar to the Triggered Stop behavior below? A Triggered Stop order is an order type where when the Trigger price has been met, then the stop order becomes active.

5) Tested it in Replay mode on another iteration of SC in Simulation mode with Data/Trade Service Settings > Current Selected Service > SC Data - All Services and the Triggered Stop showed the same action of instantly "Trigger price met for stop", even though the price has barely moved and the trigger was set to 200 ticks away from the market. 6) So, don't think this is a Teton > CME issue. What could be causing the instant trigger or this there perhaps a setting in SC that needs to be done to use the Triggered Stop? |

We really would not recommend using this as an Attached Order. We are quite certain that the order type is functioning as documented: Order Types: Triggered Stop You would get an immediate trigger if you are using a positive offset. Not sure a negative offset could even be used. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
