I'm trying to get a new VBP at the beginning of each hour (9:00, 10:00, etc). the issue is that it 's starting at different times. I'm using HA so I'm not sure if that's the reason. I also used the the start time input in the study and it didn't work either.

We would need to see an image of the chart to understand what is occurring. What is "HA"?

VbA can only start same time when a particular bar starts, thus you will almost never see the time as the beginning of the hour for volume based bars or range based bars chart, like Heikin-Ashi. You could manually set VbP start time to the hour, but it has no effect, VbP calculation will start at the time when bar starts to print, the bar that contains that hour value. I think it is a good thing, avoiding unnecessary confusions. A little bit off topic, if you decided to use range based chart, then you shouldn't worry about time, these 2 thoughts contradict each other. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-04-18 22:48:46
