From SC's what is new page "Improvements with the Interactive Brokers Trading service market data processing. With the help of one user, we have learned that IB provides a Time and Sales type data feed which is now used to create the Intraday chart bars. This data feed is only used for a symbol if it is available. Otherwise, the standard data feed is used" and "Temporarily disabled the use of the Interactive Brokers data feed which provides more complete trade and volume data until it can be further evaluated for potential issues".Will this update include a "fix" to the intrabar price lag on a SC chart(especially CL charts)where the market moves faster than the 5 second delayed true data from IB? IF not can this fix be done? Currently when checking Record real-time data in intraday charts under more interactive brokers settings the price bars are accurate but not always intrabar if the market moves before the 5 second delayed true data feed kicks in.You can put the TWS from IB next to the SC chart and watch price change sometimes alot in fast markets and the SC chart will not show this price change until 5 seconds later.TIA

No, when you are using Record True Real Time Data in Intraday Charts, there will be a 5 second delay for a bar to update.

Using IB, is it possible to have two charts with the same symbol one running with "true data" and another without it (to avoid the 5 second delay)? I believe we could do this in older versions... |

This is possible by running two copies of Sierra Chart. Please see: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/MultipleServices.html You can also append -TD to the end of a Symbol for a chart that you want True Data for.
