good morning all,

the eternal mystery surrounding this message, hopefully someone can probably benefit from them.

But thats not the point. The point is:

1. Every time, every month/year when i go back to my fav. funding partner (oneup trader), this "permission denied" problem occurs.

2. There were not a single day since Im funded with "apex trading funding" or other funding companys with such errors. (unless the password is longer than 12 charakters). So this problem only seems to occur with OU trader.(Hopefully I will have this clarified as soon as market opens)

3. I tested every software of the damn whole world and didnt find any better one at least as far as the use of tpo chart is concerned.

Tonite was the night again:

At first i thought the problem might be due to the weekend or closing time at the weekend. So in my rage, I bought another motivewave licence to test this, but of course I have been disappointed. Also a huge GAP in the chart, changed the server, did everything whats possible with no result.

Meanwhile motivewave works again, sierra does not.
(keep in mind, that the old chartbook I was using, was created under "apex" data and never ever connected to any other feed. You would think that it wouldn't matter which datafeed you connect in combination with a loaded chartbook)

Not even if you trying to "translate the symbol" couldnt save the problem. I updated and nearly tried every single setting point tonite with no result.
This morning, of course the problem still exist. The "permission denied" error was gone, but the GAP still exists.

After i bit my keyboard, I got back to work. Made a backup, deleted all files, made a new installation and guess what? Its running again, with no GAP, no "permission denied".

I dont want to continue this novel... Just one thing: To all those who use one up, or with different company and feed, make sure that not to open a demo feed with a "live sim" feed or vice versa. Create different .cht for the relevant broker. AND: Do not load a "live sim" or "sim" account with different broker connection at the weekend.

The permission denied error upon connection to Rithmic strictly is related to the particular Rithmic username and password and Server selection being used. It has no relation to anything else at all.

Here is a little update after a long discussion with rithmic. insane. just insane. i have attached the files. (hope thats ok)

Obviously I have to compress historical data. Otherwise the whole world are scalpers.

There are two kinds of "permission denied" errors from Rithmic. One upon the connection to the server and another one when requesting historical data. This relates to historical data. Not about a connection to the main trading server.

There are no historical data limits with Sierra Chart provided services and never have been.

gotcha. But what about a limitation from rithmics sides?

i never assumed it was sierra's fault. Just
I just want to understand. Obviously, my weekly limit of histroic data has been reached.

how could I prevent the 4GB from being reached? Does anyone have an idea?
