Rithmics only for execution also not recommended?

Hello, there are some reasons which lead me to Rithmics (need of EUREX access). I thought about using Rithimcs only for execution. That means I would only open one single 1-minute-chart, where I would not need a longer data history (1 hour is sufficient). for my charting work i would use a second SC instance using Denali data feed. what do you think? would that solution also lead to trouble in your eyes? thank you! |

We are not fully understanding the reasons for having two installations. You can have one installation and use the Denali Exchange Data Feed and use Rithmic for your order routing. Refer to the following: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Integration with Trading Services If you are wanting to distribute processing, then you can use the option for "File >> New Instance" to have a second instance of Sierra Chart that will be tied to the same Rithmic connection for order routing - although if you do not want to trade from it, then just keep it in Simulation Mode. Refer to the following: File Menu: New Instance (File) If you prefer it, you can have two installations of Sierra Chart, but both can be getting the data from the Denali Exchange Data Feed. Hello John, thank you for your quick reply. My questions refers to your warnings regarding using Rithmic (Rithmic Trading Platform Service: Rithmic Market Data and Support Policy). Your main point of critism refers to Rithmic historical data.Now I understand that it is possible to use Denali Historical Data Feed in combination with Rithmic trading service without using a second instance. That's good news provided Rithmic trading service works reliable. You also mention there might occur issues using Rithmic trading service. How problematic are those issues? Would the setup Denali Data + Rithmic for trading serivce work in a reliable way? Yes, I would love to use Teton Order Routing Service instead. Not nearly the quality and reliability that you will have with Teton order routing. That's good news provided Rithmic trading service works reliable.
You are far better off using Teton order routing. Do not even consider any other possibility for CME group trading. Yes, I would love to use Teton Order Routing Service instead. I see! CQG ist no option for me since I am looking for a trading service which allows to implement a daily loss limit + auto liquidation on a broker level. CQG does not, at least no auto liquidation. There is only Rithmic left, who can provide all my needs. Could you name some concrete issues, which appeared in the past using Rithmic as trading service? this would help me weigh up if Rithmic can serve as an option. Thank you for your support. |

Ok in this case you can use Rithmic for EUREX but still use Teton order routing which does have auto liquidation, for CME Group. The problem that we see from time to time with Rithmic is orders get sent but they are not responded to or the status of them is not properly updated.
