We are not understanding. Do you have a condition that you have written that is not working? Or are you looking for how to write a condition?

If the latter, then what exactly do you want to compare and what do you want to have happen? Is this an alert, or in a spreadsheet?

thanks for reply.
I have created alert using POC of 1min for each bar, then alert as =AND(C>ID1.SG2[-1],ID1.SG2>ID1.SG2[-1]). then I found out the condition become true SOMETIME even when one equation is true instead of both true. it happens in 5min as well 30min bar. I make sure value format is inherited that does not help either. I also checked on chart value windows to make sure the case. please advice.

We find it very hard to believe that the condition is true without both conditions being true. Can you please give us a screenshot of where you see this occur?

Also, what is the study that is ID1?

please check the screenshot

https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1679931803199.png

panel 3 condition =AND(C>ID10.SG2[-1],ID10.SG2>ID10.SG2[-1])

panel 4 condition =ID10.SG2<ID10.SG2[-1]

apparently both conditions can not be true at same time for last bar and third bar from right.

What is the study that you are testing (what study is ID10)?

Also, the image is too busy, we have no idea what is occurring at any given bar.

ID10.SG2 is 1min POC, that shown as yellow dash for that bar. I used alert condition for panel 3, 4 to cross check each other. most time they are in same color, but sometimes they are not. based on my condition, panel 3 and 4 should not be different color for the same bar. it happens regardless the time period for charts since I can find them in 5min, 30min as well as 4 hr.

What is the exact name of the study that you are using to get the POC (i.e. what is the name of the study for ID10)?

We are not sure why you are having an issue. From what you state, it should be working. We do wonder if your Volume by Price is setup properly, as that is one of the few things we can think of that could cause things to be off.

But, if you are wanting to get the POC for every bar, then the study Volume Point of Control for Bars is a better study to use than the VbP. Refer to the information here:
Volume Point of Control for Bars

Try using that study instead and see how things work out.

I just tried with volume point of control for bars study. Unfortunately the result is the same. for some reason that both logic for this case give true even only one of two conditions is true.

I found out the study interfered with the questioned study after following your advice to remove all other studies. thank you very much for your help again.
