Hello! In Sierra charts, if I go to trading activity and period stats, one of the columns says "Num Trades" Can you clarify for me, if it says 200.. does that mean my total round trips for the day is 100 RT? or does that mean its 200 RT and in fact 400 total trades (in and out)? Thanks! |

Each trade is a roundtrip. But these are specific individual orders, so if, for example, you enter a long trade with a quantity of 4, and you then sell 3, and then 1 separately, then that is a total of 2 trades.

*Bump* Just a follow up question to my initial post: Assume my commissions are $1 per MES RT ($0.50 MES per side). I enter all at once and then scale out, for example, buy 5 lots and scale out 1 at a time. Does this mean the Num trades in [Period Stats] will count this as 5 trades? So that would be 5 RTs, which would be (5 x $1.00)=$5.00 commissions ? Another example, if the Num Trades says 300 for the day, then my commissions for that day would be (300x$1)=$300 ? Thank you for your support |

You need to ask your broker as to how they handle the commissions.
